Publishing built around one idea: small actions build big lives.
House of Mint Press is a publishing house founded on the belief that real growth doesn't come from big, sweeping changes — it comes from small, deliberate actions, repeated consistently over time. That idea shapes everything we publish.
Our work spans two audiences. Early Ambition Kids teaches children ages 6 to 12 financial literacy and an ownership mindset through the Architect/Builder Method — a framework that separates vision from action, so kids learn to dream up a future and then build toward it, one small choice at a time. Life With Layers extends that same philosophy to adults, exploring what it means to design a more intentional life.
Every book we publish is built the same way: a real framework, not just a topic. Structured coloring lessons, not just information. Something a reader keeps coming back to, not something they finish once and put down.
A Note From the Founder
Meet the Founder
Rina Taddei believes the kids who thrive in an AI-driven future won't just need good grades — they'll need an Architect Builder mindset.
The ability to think critically. Adapt fast. Build, rather than just follow.
Where the idea came from
For nearly four decades, Rina has held senior leadership positions in the aviation industry, with a career-long focus on optimization — finding better systems, better structures, better ways forward in an industry that never stops changing. That vantage point gave her a front-row seat to something most parents don't get to see up close: how fast AI and technology are reshaping the skills the next generation will actually need to succeed.
But the idea didn't stay theoretical for long. It became personal.
None of this happened in isolation. Rina's husband has spent his entire career as an entrepreneur — building businesses from nothing, taking the kind of risks that come from believing an idea is worth betting on yourself. He raised their daughters the same way he built everything else: pushing them to think outside the box, to see themselves as owners rather than employees, and to exceed even his own expectations for what they could build. It was a household where "what if you built it yourself" was a normal question to ask a child, not an unusual one.
As a mother of two, Rina watched her daughters take two very different paths — and both, in their own way, pointed to the same gap.
Her daughter, now an education and child development specialist, wrote a research paper on the elementary curriculum and uncovered something striking: financial literacy was barely taught in schools at all, even as the world outside the classroom kept accelerating.
Her other daughter took the opposite route, building a career in investing — helping people understand and manage their money with confidence, a skill most of us are never formally taught.
One daughter studying how kids learn. One living the financial world firsthand. A husband who spent his life building things from scratch. And a mother who spent her career watching industries adapt or fall behind optimizing every single day of her career.
As Rina says: You've been holding your potential in an era that is finally ready to receive it."
That conviction — that the next generation needs to be raised as builders, not followers — became the foundation of House of Mint Press.
What House of Mint Press builds
House of Mint Press is the publishing home of Early Ambition, a coloring book series built around money, finance, and architecting your dream life.
Each book blends hands-on coloring, conversations and creativity with real financial concepts — saving, investing, and building wealth — designed to meet kids exactly where they are: curious, capable, and ready for more than they're usually given credit for.
But Early Ambition isn't just a lesson series. It's designed as a conversation starter — a way for parents to sit down with their kids, understand how they see the world, hear their dreams, and gently guide them toward building it. Part curriculum, part early-life coaching, the series opens the door to questions most families never get the chance to ask early enough.
